Questions About Coaching, Christian NLP & Working With Paul
If you are considering coaching, these answers can help you understand the approach, what to expect, and whether one of the programs may be a good fit.
About the Coaching Approach
What is Christian NLP coaching?
Christian NLP coaching combines professional coaching and Neuro-Linguistic Programming tools within an explicitly Christian framework. The goal is to help you recognize patterns influencing your choices, develop new responses, and move toward meaningful change while keeping biblical faith at the center.
Is NLP a Christian practice?
NLP itself is not Christian theology or a spiritual practice. I use NLP as a coaching methodology and evaluate its use through a biblical worldview. Scripture remains the foundation through which I understand growth, purpose, identity, and transformation.
Do you use Scripture and prayer in coaching?
Yes. Because my coaching approach is explicitly Christian, Scripture, prayer, Christian reflection, and conversations about purpose, calling, values, and spiritual growth may be included as appropriate throughout the coaching relationship.
About the Flagship Program
What is the Christian NLP Breakthrough & Transformation Program?
It is a personalized coaching process designed to help you clarify desired outcomes, explore recurring patterns, examine limiting beliefs and decisions, understand internal strategies, create a future-focused plan, and continue with practical action and accountability.
How long is the program?
The program is individualized rather than tied to a rigid number of weeks. Early breakthrough work may take several sessions, followed by ongoing coaching focused more heavily on goals, action, assignments, and accountability.
How long are the sessions?
Breakthrough coaching sessions are generally 90 minutes.
How often do we meet?
Sessions are typically scheduled weekly, although the pace can be adjusted based on your goals, availability, progress, and the work being completed.
Can we meet more than once per week?
Yes. More than one session per week may be scheduled when appropriate and when it supports the goals of the coaching process.
What is the investment?
The current launch investment for the Christian NLP Breakthrough & Transformation Program is $2,495. Payment plans are available.
About Habit Change Coaching
What kinds of habits can coaching help with?
Habit Change Coaching may focus on appropriate personal-development and performance goals such as health and wellness routines, consistency, productivity, procrastination, leadership habits, communication patterns, boundaries, and follow-through.
How is Habit Change Coaching different from the Breakthrough Program?
Habit Change Coaching is more focused on a specific behavioral pattern or habit. The Breakthrough & Transformation Program is more comprehensive and may be better suited when the issue involves multiple recurring patterns, beliefs, decisions, or broader areas of personal transformation.
About Christian Leadership Coaching
Who is Christian Leadership Coaching for?
It is designed for pastors, ministry leaders, nonprofit leaders, church staff, community leaders, Christian business leaders, emerging leaders, and others whose leadership affects the people they serve.
What can leadership coaching focus on?
Coaching may focus on leadership clarity, decision-making, communication, conflict, priorities, boundaries, personal leadership patterns, values, calling, goals, and accountability.
Coaching, Therapy & Professional Boundaries
Is coaching the same as therapy?
No. Paul Hackett Coaching provides coaching and personal-development services, not psychotherapy, psychological treatment, psychiatric care, diagnosis, medical treatment, or crisis intervention.
What happens if my needs fall outside the scope of coaching?
If a concern falls outside the appropriate scope of coaching, I may recommend that you work with or seek referral to a qualified licensed mental-health, medical, or other professional.
Can coaching treat trauma, addiction, or mental-health conditions?
No. Coaching is not used to diagnose or treat trauma, addiction, psychiatric conditions, or other clinical concerns. Those needs should be addressed by appropriately qualified licensed professionals.
Where & How We Meet
Do you meet online or in person?
Both. Coaching is available virtually by Zoom and in person throughout North Central Massachusetts.
Can I work with you if I do not live in Massachusetts?
Virtual coaching by Zoom makes it possible to work together from many locations, subject to the nature of the coaching engagement and any applicable legal or professional limitations.
Do you offer between-session support?
Yes. Some programs include between-session support, assignments, follow-up, or accountability depending on the coaching engagement.
Churches, Nonprofits, Businesses & Teams
Do you work with organizations as well as individuals?
Yes. I work with churches, ministries, nonprofits, businesses, leadership teams, and community organizations around leadership development, communication, conflict dynamics, team coaching, assessments, workshops, and facilitation.
Are organizational engagements always faith-based?
Faith integration can be central for churches, ministries, Christian nonprofits, and faith-based leaders. In workplace or community settings, engagements can focus on leadership, communication, conflict, team effectiveness, and professional development in a way that fits the organization.
What If I Don't Know Which Program I Need?
Do I need to choose a program before contacting you?
No. Start with the outcome you want, the pattern you want to change, or the challenge you are facing. We can talk about which coaching path may be the best fit.
What is the first step?
Contact Paul and briefly describe what you would like to change, accomplish, or explore. From there, we can determine the most appropriate next step.
