You May Understand the Problem and Still Keep Repeating the Pattern
You may already know what you want to change. You may know what would be healthier, wiser, or more consistent with the person you want to become.
And yet the same habits, reactions, beliefs, emotional responses, or internal conflicts continue to show up.
This program is designed for people who want to go beyond simply collecting more information and begin doing intentional work around the patterns influencing their choices.
A Six-Stage Transformation Process
The process is individualized, but the overall coaching journey follows six major areas of focus.
Clarify Your Desired Outcome
Define what you want to change, where you are now, and what meaningful progress would look like.
Explore Emotional Patterns
Identify recurring emotional responses and explore appropriate coaching work around those patterns.
Examine Limiting Decisions & Beliefs
Explore internal conclusions or beliefs that may continue to influence present choices and behavior.
Understand Internal Patterns
Explore values, motivation, habits, internal strategies, and areas of conflict that may affect progress.
Create Your Future
Clarify goals, future pace desired changes, and create a meaningful picture of where you are going.
Walk It Out
Continue with action steps, assignments, coaching, accountability, review, and implementation.
We Begin by Understanding What Has Been Getting in the Way
Early in the coaching relationship, the focus may be more intensive. We begin by establishing your goals and desired outcomes and identifying patterns that may have interfered with progress.
Depending on your goals and what is appropriate for coaching, this may include work around recurring emotional responses, limiting decisions, beliefs, internal conflicts, values, motivation, and behavioral strategies.
This phase may take several sessions. It is not rushed into a predetermined timeline because each client brings a different history, goal, and pace of change.
Common Emotional Patterns We May Explore
Depending on the client's goals and the appropriate scope of coaching, early breakthrough work may explore recurring patterns associated with emotions such as:
- Anger
- Sadness
- Fear
- Hurt
- Guilt
- Anxiety-related patterns
The purpose is not to diagnose or treat a mental health condition, but to help increase awareness and develop more intentional responses within an appropriate coaching context.
The Focus Shifts Toward Goals, Action & Accountability
As the coaching relationship progresses, the emphasis increasingly shifts away from identifying barriers and toward building the future you want.
Sessions become more focused on reviewing assignments, clarifying goals, addressing new obstacles, designing practical tasks, and maintaining momentum.
- Review assignments and commitments
- Discuss progress and challenges
- Clarify short- and long-term goals
- Design practical action steps
- Address barriers as they emerge
- Future pace desired outcomes
- Strengthen accountability
- Schedule the next steps

Transformation Through the Renewing of the Mind
I view the change principles I use in NLP through the biblical lens of Romans 12:2—the call to transformation through the renewing of our minds.
NLP is a coaching methodology I use as a tool. Scripture remains the foundation through which I understand identity, purpose, growth, responsibility, and transformation.
Coaching Is Not Therapy
Change Is Possible
Change is possible! I now have the tools available to lead me to a positive end result.
